Close to Home | Keeping Families Together

Lynn Marie Saso and Amanda DiGiulio have been collaborative practitioners for over a decade. Our work together started in a multidisciplinary Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program Specializing in dual diagnosed clientele. Diagnoses experiences ranged from acute thought disorders, trauma survivors, addiction, personality disorders and psychotic disorders.

The most positive and sustainable outcomes we have found are in working within the family system as the patient rather than one isolated identified patient. We work collaboratively with outside and internal providers. We believe that in working together as a system and in building a strength-based approach, contributes to the most sustainable and positive restorative healing outcomes.

Within our time together we developed a layered treatment approach to a wide variety of precipitating stressors, whether it be addiction or the vast range of intergenerational traumas.

Below you will find our family system therapy outpatient protocol and workshops. Keep in mind each layer can be scheduled with or without the other. We offer a complementary one hour screening virtual call in order to cater the recommendations to your family and loved ones goals. You may benefit from weekly family therapy or some families benefit more from separate psychoeducational sessions until the family system is prepared to meet together.

Our stage based and concierge family program options:
Keep in mind each layer can be scheduled with or without the other.

Stage #1: Complementary Call

Complementary 1 hour assessment call. We will use this time to hear your story and make recommendations of a potential treatment plan.

Stage #2: Family Psycho-education

We will schedule separate calls with each family member to gather important information on the identified patient and or identified “problem” in the system. This includes psycho-education on either diagnosis, treatment protocols and or communication techniques for a potential family meeting.

Stage #3: Family Weekend

Day 1: We will meet as a unit for a psychoeducational session catered to the specific questions and or diagnosis that has been identified. This could relate to an identified addiction, personality disorder or family trauma that occurred.  This is offered both virtually or in the comfort of our West Los Angeles office.

Day 2: Focused on family communication and reparative techniques to build acceptance, letting go and moving towards a path of healing.

Stage #4: Weekly Sessions

Weekly one hour family therapy sessions with clear goals and agendas for improved integration and relational sustainability (as needed) to build and reinforce all coping tools learned and insight built throughout the weekend.
